Scented candles: recycling ideas

Scented candles with their fragrance bring to our home that magical atmosphere, that soft light that creates ambiance and gives a touch of style and design.
And when they are worn out, what to do? All it takes is a bit of ingenuity and it is possible to recycle what we thought was unusable.
The glass cups that hold our candles lend themselves well to getting a second life and being transformed into something else.
First of all, however, we will need to remove all traces of wax. There are various ways to remove the residue, such as creating grooves in the wax with a knife and pouring boiling water into it. Just wait for it to cool and then clean the containers with soap and water. Alternatively, we can put them for a few minutes in the hot oven and then pour the melted wax into aluminum foil.In both cases to clean up the residue we will need a small round-tipped knife before proceeding to wash the glass with sponge and soap.Once washed we can use our container and put our artistic ideas into practice.We can leave the glass as it is or practice the decoupage technique to decorate it as we wish. In this way we will have already turned them into convenient jewelry boxes to keep on the bedroom cabinet, where we can store rings, bracelets or other jewelry.
Similarly, they are suitable for keeping makeup brushes arranged in the bathroom, pens and pencils on the desk or for resting keys or candy at the entrance.
They could also become small pots where we can bury succulent seedlings, decorating them with colorful ribbons to give them a lively style.
Space for imagination: it will benefit our home but also the environment.
