Cut the wick.<\/h4>\n<p>Using scissors, give the wick a clean cut, leaving about 1 cm. As you cut it, take care that there is no residue left on the wax, because even small threads or pieces of the wick could be burned the moment the candle is lit, ruining its scent. The <g id=\"gid_0\">right size of the wick<\/g> allows for a high, lively flame and does not create smoke. Before each use, therefore, check its size, remembering that it should not exceed that of 1 cm.   <\/p>\n<h4>2.
